About the Role A leading organisation in the aviation sector is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to strengthen its technical quality function. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that quality, compliance, and assurance activities are effectively integrated into engineering, operational change, and product development processes.
The environment is highly regulated, dynamic, and collaborative, giving you the opportunity to work closely with engineering, operations, and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a reference point for Change Management processes from a Quality Assurance perspective
- Deliver Software Assurance training to technical teams
- Conduct proactive quality checks during development and release phases
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and practices
- Support teams in embedding quality activities into design and production workflows
- Collaborate with Operations Transition Management
- Develop and maintain QA training materials and documentation
- Perform root cause analyses and contribute to corrective actions
- Coordinate development milestones and ensure compliance evidence is properly integrated
- Hands?on experience performing Quality Assurance activities in a highly regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, automotive, aerospace)
- Strong knowledge of Software Engineering Standards, such as ISO1207, ED?153, ED?109A
- Proven experience in training delivery within technical or QA domains
- Experience working in an Agile engineering or delivery environment
- Excellent presentation, communication, and technical document?writing abilities
- A pragmatic, solutions?oriented approach
- Very good verbal and written English
- Basic IT skills
- Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools
- Understanding of Software and Hardware Assurance practices
- Knowledge of Eurocae standards
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Contract running until the end of the year, with a strong possibility of extension
