I’m working with a cutting-edge tech environment to find a Senior Network & Automation Engineer to play a critical role in scaling and automating the core infrastructure of my cleints IT portfolio. As part of the ICT team, you’ll take technical ownership over the on-site network infrastructure and automation landscape. This is a hands-on, operations-focused role where you’ll combine your networking skills with Linux-based automation and scripting expertise to deliver reliable, scalable services across our extensive data center and (W)LAN ecosystem.

Your Core Responsibilities;

End-to-end management of Campus network infrastructure: routing, switching, wireless, firewalling, and security
Drive network automation initiatives using tools like Ansible, NetConf, YANG, APIs, and JSON
Lead troubleshooting and incident resolution across network and Linux-based environments
Script and automate infrastructure tasks using Bash and Python (with heavy Linux interaction)
Collaborate on major infrastructure projects and continuous improvement of service delivery
Maintain tight coordination with Campus residents, tech partners, and service providers

What You Bring;

Deep understanding of Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) – LPIC-2 level or higher
Strong scripting ability with Bash and Python
Proven expertise with network automation (Ansible, APIs, NetConf/YANG)
Hands-on skills with routing, switching, wireless (Cisco-level CCNP minimum)
Solid grasp of DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, and security best practices

This role is based in Eindhoven, and due to the nature of the work, you will need to be on-site 5 days per week. The team operates in a mix of Dutch and English, so a strong professional understanding of Dutch is required. Please only apply if you are comfortable with both of these aspects.
The hourly rate on offer is €80–€100, and this is a freelance agreement for 12 months.
