Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Focus on development and operations within Way4, using Oracle PL/SQL.
- Manage operational tasks for smooth deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the application.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, maintain infrastructure, and automate routine tasks.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams for seamless integration and deployment of new features.
- Monitor system performance and resolve incidents for high availability and reliability.
- Engage in daily discussions with colleagues to refine development and operational processes.
Who Are We Looking For
- You have a higher degree in IT or some years relevant experience
- You have a 1st relevant experience as backend engineer, ideally within devops environment
- You must have real world and hands-on experience:
- Developing in Oracle PL/SQL
- Basic Oracle DBA knowledge
- Infrastructure knowledge (Windows, Linux)
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, VBScript, Bash/Shell scripting
- Build, set up, and manage development tools and infrastructure
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
- You are comfortable in English, spoken and in writing
- Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to participate in 1st and 2nd line support and work outside normal office hours (e.g., during releases and incidents)
- Installation and deployment of software (releases; patches)
- Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions for production errors
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting solutions
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools like Jenkins or GitLab
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Understanding of security best practices and compliancy standards;
- Experience while working with an external vendor, specifically OpenWay and WAY4 as solution.
