Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to support the preparation and management of economic and financial market data. You will clean, organize, and standardize datasets from diverse sources and implement quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy. These datasets will support economists and researchers in achieving research objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, organize, and standardize data from multiple sources.
- Prepare high-quality, analysis-ready datasets for internal use.
- Apply quality control checks to maintain data consistency and accuracy.
- Align data processing and interpretation with specific research goals.
- Solid foundation in data science (internship or entry-level experience acceptable).
- Proficiency in Python and Matlab.
- Strong understanding of statistical tools and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of economics and financial markets.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving ability.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Experience with additional programming languages/tools.
- Exposure to advanced data visualization techniques.
