Project Description
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in developing concepts, advising stakeholders during decision-making, and executing detailed engineering plans. This includes securing necessary funding and managing the execution of work. You will be responsible for costs, timelines, and functionality of projects within the HS Shared Services platform at the Visp site. The position involves technical project management for small to mid-sized investment projects that directly impact production and business results, as well as process optimization and knowledge transfer.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute small to medium-sized investment projects with direct impact on production and business results.
  • Perform process engineering calculations and plant optimizations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new plants or rebuilds of existing facilities, including cost estimation, scheduling, and functionality assessments.
  • Plan, implement, and support production adjustments and product launches.
  • Develop and evaluate technical solution concepts, including analysis of advantages and disadvantages.
  • Procure and organize internal and external resources to ensure professional and timely project execution.
  • Optimize process flows and implement solutions Share expertise and best practices across teams.
Your Profile
  • Education: Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, Bioengineering, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong application of technical knowledge in daily work
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
    • Highly independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach
    • Fluent level in English and German
    • Innovative thinking and ability to drive improvements
    • Strong leadership skills in a matrix organization
