Duration: 18 months with potential extension
Start: immediate or by agreement
Location: on-site in Switzerland or Central Europe (with flexible hybrid or fully remote arrangement possible depending on profile and project needs)
We are looking for a Senior PMO Specialist to support a large-scale ERP transformation initiative within a complex international IT environment.
The role sits within an IT Portfolio & Project Management function responsible for delivering strategic, transformational, and operational change across multiple business areas and stakeholder groups.
This position is embedded in a major ERP programme and focuses on enabling structured execution, governance, and coordination across multiple workstreams. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring alignment between project management activities, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders. In addition to PMO responsibilities, there may be occasional opportunities to take ownership of specific initiatives where required.
The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and requires a strong delivery mindset combined with the ability to operate across both strategic and operational levels.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as a key support function for project and workstream leads in managing ERP transformation activities
- Coordinate project governance activities including planning cycles, meetings, documentation, and reporting
- Support setup and execution of project structures, including phase gate preparation and approval processes
- Monitor progress against scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations
- Prepare and consolidate management reporting, dashboards, and steering committee materials
- Ensure adherence to internal PM standards, frameworks, and delivery methodologies
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and stakeholder alignment
- Support change management and adoption-related activities across impacted business areas
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO standards and delivery practices
Candidate Profile
- Academic background in Business, Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record in ERP transformation programmes, ideally including SAP S/4HANA environments
- Strong experience in IT project delivery support or PMO roles in complex organisations
- Good understanding of ERP system landscapes and business process integration
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and project lifecycle frameworks
- Strong command of MS Office tools and Jira or similar PM tools
- Experience or exposure to AI-supported project management is an advantage
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate comfortably between high-level governance and detailed execution tasks
- Structured, proactive, and strongly delivery-oriented working style
- Fluent English required; German and/or French is an advantage
