Senior ServiceNow Developer (Operational Risk Applications)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Contract Duration: 1 year

About the Role For our client, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the development and operation of critical Operational Risk (OpRisk) applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

This position is part of a collaborative, agile environment focused on the continuous enhancement of an existing risk management platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Operational Risk applications
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Develop and enhance ServiceNow-based applications and workflows
  • Support the operation and continuous improvement of existing systems
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business stakeholders, and nearshore teams
  • Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and security standards
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to technical decision-making
Required Skills & Experience Technical Requirements
  • Strong experience as a ServiceNow Developer (not only an end-user or administrator)
  • Proven expertise in:
    • ServiceNow GRC 
    • IRM 
    • BCM 
    • TPRM
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Linux
    • PL/SQL
  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Education
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a related technical discipline
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge or strong interest in Operational Risk Management (OpRisk)
  • Experience working in regulated industries, banking, or financial services
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Language Requirements

  • 4 onsite developers
  • 5 nearshore developers
  • 4 business specialists
