Required Background
- 5-10+ years of experience in Windows Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration or Platform Support
- Strong experience supporting business-critical production environments
- Proven background in infrastructure operations, incident, problem and change management
- Experience working within regulated enterprise environments, ideally banking, financial services, insurance or other highly controlled industries
- Strong understanding of operational controls, availability, resilience and platform security
- Exposure to datacentre operations, infrastructure lifecycle management and production support processes
- Strong experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vSphere and vCenter, including virtual server provisioning, lifecycle management and platform optimisation
- Good understanding of PowerShell scripting, infrastructure monitoring, storage/SAN technologies and ITIL-based operational support processes
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM
- Automation and scripting experience
- Exposure to enterprise datacentre and virtualisation environments
- Experience within financial services or other regulated industries
- Knowledge of high-availability, backup and disaster recovery solutions
