The 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces in Consulting and Professional Services™ list was revealed this morning by Great Place To Work® UK, recognising Source Group International (SGI) among the organisations in the small to medium category.

SGI’s employees anonymously reported that the company’s hybrid working policy makes it a great workplace. Launched in 2021, this initiative effectively empowers employees to balance their professional and personal lives. Since its introduction, employees have reported increased job satisfaction, better work-life balance, and improved mental well-being. The policy allows for a blend of remote and in-office work, which has fostered trust, pride, and camaraderie within the team while supporting employee well-being.

One anonymous employee from the latest Trust Index© survey said, “The flexibility and support I receive from SGI allows me to perform at my best, without compromising my personal life. I feel valued and trusted to manage my work in a way that suits me.”

The Best Workplaces in Consulting and Professional Services™ list is based on anonymous feedback from employees working in the industry about their workplace experience. These firms cover a wide range of knowledge-intensive roles, including legal services, management consultancy, engineering, marketing and advertising, telecoms, real estate, recruitment, and travel management, among others.

Great Place To Work® UK administered their research-backed Trust Index© employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based consulting and professional services employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list. The surveys explored how companies support their employees’ work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety, and financial security. The evaluation also included an assessment of how well the organisation delivers a consistent employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.

The analysis of the sector employee survey responses found that:
• 94% of employees at the UK’s Best Workplaces for Consulting & Professional Services say, “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work,” compared to a UK average for the sector of 69%.

James Smith, CEO of Source Group International, shared his pride in being ranked among the UK’s Best Workplaces in Consulting and Professional Services™, saying: “At SGI, we are committed to creating a workplace where our employees feel empowered, trusted, and supported. Being recognised on this prestigious list is a testament to the culture we have built and the efforts we’ve made to ensure the wellbeing and success of our team. We will continue investing in our people and ensuring that SGI remains a great workplace.”
