Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-level SAP ABAP Consultant with a strong development background and experience supporting finance-led SAP landscapes. In this role, you will design and deliver custom ABAP developments that support core finance processes, regulatory reporting, and system stability within highly controlled environments.

You will work closely with functional FI/CO consultants, finance stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure solutions are robust, auditable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP solutions including reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICEF) for finance-critical processes
• Support SAP FI/CO implementations, rollouts, and post-go-live enhancements within financial services clients
• Collaborate with functional consultants and finance users to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions
• Develop interfaces and data flows for financial reporting, reconciliation, and downstream systems
• Produce clear technical documentation aligned with audit and compliance standards
• Support system upgrades, performance tuning, and production issue resolution in sensitive, high-availability environments

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong exposure to SAP FI/CO and finance-driven SAP processes
• Proven experience with:
  • ABAP Objects
  • ALV reporting and SmartForms
  • User Exits, BADIs, BAPIs
  • IDocs, interfaces, and enhancements
• Understanding of data accuracy, authorization concepts, and transport management in regulated environments
• Exposure to SAP Fiori and OData services is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and finance stakeholders
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage
