Senior Business Engineer – Payments & BCM (Workstream Lead)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid)
Workload: 100%
Start: 02 August 2026 (earlier start highly welcomed)
Duration: Until 31 December 2027

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Engineer to join a strategic banking programme focused on implementing a payment contingency solution as part of a regulatory resilience initiative.
In this role, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing, documenting, and managing business requirements for the contingency payment solution. You will develop requirements at Epic, Feature, and User Story level and translate business and technical needs into detailed specifications for internal IT teams and external software providers.
You will act as the key interface between business stakeholders, IT teams, Business Continuity Management (BCM), and external vendors, ensuring alignment throughout the entire delivery lifecycle. Responsibilities also include defining interface requirements and data flows between banking systems, data adapters, and vendor solutions, coordinating stakeholders across the project, leading a dedicated workstream, and supporting testing, documentation, and training activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Engineer or Senior Business Analyst
  • Strong experience in requirements engineering, business analysis, and process modelling
  • Proven banking or financial services background
  • Experience with system integrations, interfaces, and technical specifications
  • Experience working in Agile environments (SAFe, Scrum)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Payments Expertise

  • Solid experience within Payments / Zahlungsverkehr
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 20022
  • Experience with CAMT and MX messages
  • Understanding of payment processing and payment operations

Nice to Have

  • Business Continuity Management (BCM) experience
  • Knowledge of MiniSIC processes
  • Experience with operational resilience or contingency solutions in banking
  • IREB or ITIL certifications

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Business Information Systems, or a related field

Languages

  • German: C2 (near-native proficiency)
  • English: C1 (advanced professional proficiency)
